family resemblance? i somehow hoarded all the scandinavian genes. after screening food inc and a heated two hour 'discussion' on the merits of GMOs and the legitimacy of intuition

Pacific coastline how I miss thee! didnt realize how much i missed the ocean until seeing it again, crazy thought working at an ocean centric NGO...provided some much needed perspective

soaking in the salt air and stench of sea lions: does a body good

family adventure! 3 hours and several missed turns later we found ourselves in quaint carmel, browsing overpriced stores, dodging fleets of tourists, custom blending perfume and drowning ourselves in chocolate

what trip to SF would be complete without a night out with the girls at the gay club?

Post locking the keys in the car (not this one) while still running, calling AAA & making new friends for a jump start, nearly passing out in hunger walking through town and scouring the area for infamous beef jerky. Pre traffic jams and hitting stationary objects. All in a days work

Somewhere around glass 12, onto the chocolate wind shots!

our expressions pretty much sum it up...confusion, disgust, amusement. attempting to eat the melted cake that had been sitting in the trunk for the past few hours.

the infamous black flats. elusive. coveted. the holy grail.

last weekend, zoe and i braved the heinous heat in search of bubble tea, heading down to georgetown to drool over fabulously expensive clothes. ducking into urban outfitters to stave off heat stroke and bypassing racks of grandma-chic rompers we cant afford, we bee-lined for the shoes. and there they were. sitting atop a pedestal in all their glory. a lone pair of black flats. my size (they NEVER have my size, big footed discrimination!!). call it luck, call it fate, whatever it was the shopping gods must have been smiling on me that day!

now comes the TRUE test: will they pass the first-day-breaking-in-and-not-breaking-my-feet test? heres to hoping...
