our latest foray into foreign cinema was actually pretty entertaining *we are notorious for selecting boring, disturbing or otherwise off-putting random foreign films as our netflix instant pick / quad-sitting when its nice out is soooooo college. oh to an undergrad again when your biggest worry was whether to go to cornerstone or santa fe that night / between work, teaching, school and general life stress all i want to do is crawl back under the covers, eat puffins cereal and watch the third soon-to-be-filmed season of downton abbey. or read the hunger games series. this whole responsibility thing is really cutting into my relaxation time

dc women have been rocking so many fab tights/shoes combos lately, i couldnt resist a little street stalking a la bill cunningham

allie impulse bought a tortilla maker, so naturally we had to give it a whirl. just your typical tuesday evening *and by we, i mean allie. i mostly served as 'taste tester'

celebrating presidents day with a burrito the size of a small child. i think they would approve

dmo brought over the makings of a decadent sunday supper. going for the true americana experience with half plate steak, half plate salad and half plate baked garlic green beans polished off with a piece of ghirardelli each for one heaping afternoon meal / blind dog cafe's new pop up coffee shop tucked into darnell's living room-esque bar. nothing beats a house infused soy vanilla latte and chocolate chip biscotti in good company during an impending blizzard *that never actually rained, snowed, or dropped below 40 degrees

 charitable drinking thursday! just doing my part to help underprivileged kids go to college by downing a few bevs. its a tough job, but someones got to do it

 the latest installment of Friday Feasts with my fellow food lover, the awkwardtraveler. while the crepes were less than stellar (thankfully we used a groupon!), venturing further into the wilds of silver spring was well worth the adventure

those are some mighty claims there, yogi castle. while i enjoy the occasional cup of froyo, im preeeeeetty sure it wont cure cancer. and it definitely hasnt/doesnt cure lactose intolerance. but i will gladly take a pill for that heaping pile of yogurty chocolately sprinkles goodness
